Fridge is as described. The door is fixed and cannot be reversed so if you need it to open the other way, no luck. The description said "restored" and was $72 less than one that did not say 'restored' on the site, but it came packaged from the factory. Nothing was wrong with the unit at all. The color is a vivid shiny red. We put an Ohio State vinyl decal on the door and it looks like a custom fridge. The door is plastic so will not hold a magnet, but the sides are metal and will. So far it has kept our sodas very cool at the setting we chose and everything seems to be running properly. The only negative is that if you use the 'decorative' handle, the whole fridge moves forward before the door opens. There is a grooved area across the top of the fridge door for actual opening and closing. We almost pulled it off the counter when we opened it with the handle, so use the groove at the top for opening. Maybe if there were heavy items in the fridge this may not happen as readily as it did for us. We are very happy with the unit.
We wanted a mini fridge with the retro look for our retro designed movie theater room. It is perfect! Love the look! Everything works great so far! Great to keep drinks, etc... for our movie room, and love the fact there is a little freezer too for Italian Ice and ice cream sandwiches!
This has a really great candle apple flake paint job, much nicer in person than the pictures. It gets super cold on just the medium setting and is very quiet running. The only drawback that I could notice was the cool looking chrome handle is actually plastic, not metal. But since it doesn't really latch like the old handles did I should not break. Overall the quality and look exceeded the price, so I am giving this an excellent rating.
I've had this awesome fridge for about a week now and it meets all of my expectations. It came packaged very well, it is exactly as described, and it is pretty cool (literally and figuratively).
Love this little refrigerator. I recently purchased another brand from a different company and it did not keep sodas or beer cold. They were cool but not cold, nobody wants a cool beer, it's got to be cold. I bought this one based on the looks and reviews. It works great, is very quiet and keeps things COLD. One warning, do not turn the temp to the coldest, it may freeze your cans. Just kidding.
I was looking for a small fridge other than black or white to use in my office. When I found this one on the web with the red color and old-fashioned look it immediately got my attention. After shopping around I went ahead and purchased this one. It has been great! It looks fantastic (co-workers have commented on how much they like it) and it really gets cold. It is also very quiet. When you purchase it let it stand for 4 hours before plugging in (this is in the directions). I let my stand overnight, plugged it in the next morning, and it has worked great!
We bought this fridge for our baby's room so we don't have to go down stairs for milk all the time. It works great. It keeps the milk really cold, and we don't even have it set on the coldest setting. We haven't use the freezer.
First off, this is less than $100, so don't expect top-end craftsmanship. The logos and chrome accent stripes are domed gel stickers. The handle is fixed chrome plated plastic. I knew this before ordering. Sure, it would have been nice to have real metal badging and a steel latching handle, but then this would have cost $200 or more. One pleasant surprise was how good this fridge looks in person. The door is metallic red flaked paint (the sides and top are normal gloss red.) The metallic paint is a very nice touch. People that walk by my office stop in their tracks and walk in just to check out this little appliance. Everyone is shocked when I tell them where I purchased it and the price. Performance is great too. Keeps frozen food frozen and everything else super chilled. Long term reliability is always anybody's guess, but at this price i have no problem buying another....maybe it's big brother for the garage..
This is exactly what we have been looking for. We put it in my wife's office and she LOVES it!!! It's not boring like most of the small refrigerators are. We've had it for only a few weeks but so far so good.
It fits in perfectly in space I have for it. Very nice color and has already elicited favorable comments.
